Beads and crystals

The top left is almost ready. Part 12 is quite fiddly as I had to use two needles as one set of beads did not fit in a size 28 needle like the rest of the beads. I hate when that happens as I have to use a beading needle and it takes me ages to thread the needle.

Here is a close-up of the Jessica and the crystal cube in the middle. I had to frog it several times as first I stitched the wrong crystal and then it took me a while to make the cube lay correctly on the fabric.

Beads

Finally I started to bead St Pete. This is the first time that I am using Delica beads and I really like how they look on the fabric and they are so easy to bead! This picture is very bad as I had low batteries in my camera but I couldn't resist posting it just the same. I am planning to keep beading all weekend, hopefully I will make some significant progress as this piece has around 3000 beads!!!

Marquoir Stitchalong

Part 6 of Zentangle is done. This is a relaxing stitch and it is a nice break from the large projects that I usually work on.

Almost done

The mouth/flower is almost done except for some light colours in the centre and the stem.

On another note, yesterday I washed St Pete's. Thankfully none of the threads bled (all were pre-rinsed before stitching). I was almost in panic mode until it was almost dry. It looks much better now so it was worth it. I am going to start beading in the coming days. I can't wait!

More Persian progess

I spent the weekend stitching on Persian Iris Garden by Chatelaine. I managed to finish the columns and most of the greenery around them. Hopefully the next time I pick this up this part will be finished.

Mouth of Flower

These last few days I had a stiff neck which prevented me from stitching as much as I wanted to, still some progress has been made on Mouth of Flower. I am enjoying stitching this project and it stitches up pretty quickly.

New start

I fell in love with this design the moment I saw it. It is a painting, Mouth of the Flower by Octavio Ocampo converted to cross stitch by The Stitching Studio. I am using the recommended threads and fabric only the count is 28 instead of 32 as none of the online shops that I usually shop from carried the 32ct.

Floss Toss

This is a floss toss of my next Chatelaine start, Holland Springtime Mandala.

I am planning on stitching it using the original kit and the fabric is SMF Fairy Morn 32ct lugana. The picture shows the fabric a little washed out but I like how the threads look on it.

Projects that I will be working on in 2010

St Petersburg White Nights, all stitching is done all that remains are some specialty stitches and the beads but first it needs to be washed.

This is Chatelaine's Persian Iris Garden and currently I am stitching part 4.
