It's a happy dance

I have completed Mouth of Flower. This is my first finish this year! This design was a pleasure to stitch and the end result is amazing!. I could not take a decent picture of this as the fabric always comes out a little washed out. This is the best one!

Ready to bloom

I have finished the last flower on Mouth of Flower. Now all is left to stitch is the stem and leaves. I am excited that I am so close to have this finished.

I finally have taken an accurate picture of the fabric ... but please excuse all the creases.

A close up

Just green

I am happy with the amount of progress I've made on this. In the picture the fabric is all washed out, it is actually darker and pinkish.

Good progress

I am very happy with the progress done on Mouth of Flower. Only some missed stitches are left to do on the  right flower. I will be working on the stems next. I really love the colour of the flowers.

Weekend stitching ...

or rather frogging I must say. The lower part of the flower and the stem were off by one stitch. I ripped it out as it would have been a greater headache to try to fudge it and to line up correctly the upper stem. I did not manage to re-stitch what I had ripped out, although I managed to add some stitches in the upper part of the flower.

Second flower

I am halfway through page 6. This one stitches up pretty quickly, I love the combination of colours used in this piece. I will try to find time to stitch again on it this month.

Blossoming nicely

Took a break from beading to finish the flower/mouth. I had to stitch the stem twice as I stitched a fair amount of stitches using the wrong coloured thread. Agggh! So frustrating when that happens.

Almost done

The mouth/flower is almost done except for some light colours in the centre and the stem.

On another note, yesterday I washed St Pete's. Thankfully none of the threads bled (all were pre-rinsed before stitching). I was almost in panic mode until it was almost dry. It looks much better now so it was worth it. I am going to start beading in the coming days. I can't wait!

Mouth of Flower

These last few days I had a stiff neck which prevented me from stitching as much as I wanted to, still some progress has been made on Mouth of Flower. I am enjoying stitching this project and it stitches up pretty quickly.

New start

I fell in love with this design the moment I saw it. It is a painting, Mouth of the Flower by Octavio Ocampo converted to cross stitch by The Stitching Studio. I am using the recommended threads and fabric only the count is 28 instead of 32 as none of the online shops that I usually shop from carried the 32ct.
